A Puppy Birthday Party!

Posted by Darcy Miller

My daughters are dying for a dog, but instead of actually getting them a dog I decided to throw a puppy birthday party for my youngest daughter. It had everything puppy -- candy, crafts, dog ear headbands, favors, stuffed animals, puppy cupcakes, but no real puppies and no real mess to clean up. Learn how to make all of the puppy projects in the gallery below on our site.

With three girls and numerous birthday parties I get asked how I come up with new ideas every year and my answer is "I don't." I never run out of ideas because the kids come up with them, they're the inspiration for every party and I just run with the ideas they give me.

I illustrated place mats with my daughter's name and puppies, which decorated the tables. I also sent out invitations and made favors using my illustrations.
