Our second idea comes from Rebecca of LilSugar. Love her valentine? Vote for her in our Valentine's Day Challenge poll.
With two little boys at home, Valentine's Day around here is less about hearts, kisses, and the color pink, than the things they love — cars! My little one has a tree nut allergy, and my older one's school doesn't allow candy to be distributed in the classroom, so we came up with an interactive idea that didn't involve sweets — cars and trucks and things that go!
We started out with a piece of card stock and some markers, and drew a roadway from home to school. My oldest son then added his favorite Matchbox car to the path and said he was ready to give it to his friends.
To make it a bit more fun, we turned their idea into a free printable card, available here.
Simply cut around the dotted edge. Fold the card in half. Glue on a small plastic car (we got our's at Party City). Address the card and watch as your lil one's classmates have fun!
Happy Valentine's Day!
